12/17/2010

Version 2.0 of PyF, an open source Python framework and platform used for processing large amounts of data is now available.

In a blog post today, Jonathan Schemoul announced the release of PyF 2.0. This open source Python framework is composed of different layers: core layer--pyf.dataflow, network layer--pyf.manager, componentized layer--pyf.componentized and webservice--pyf.services. According to the website, at the core level, PyF 2.0 has reused, embedded, and extended another library called zflow and each level is based on the level directly under it.

In addition to the PyF website, users can ask questions and find out more information on the mailing list, #pfy IRC Channel on freenode.net, Google group as well as the release documentation.
